The Mission of CNET

English Teaching Foreign Experts are needed desperately in Jiangsu, China for one or two semester contracted teaching engagements. Jiangsu Province is located in Eastern China, bordering the Shanghai metropolitan area to the East. Jiangsu Province is the wealthiest and fastest growing area of China economically. The weather is temperate, comparing to South Carolina in the USA. Jiangsu Province is the ideal location for a Western teacher to relax and enjoy the “China Experience” while assisting in China’s “Opening Up”.

Zhu Yan and Mark Bolding are a husband and wife living in Houston, TX. They formerly lived in Changzhou in Eastern China, located 90 miles northwest of Shanghai. Yan is fluent in English and worked as an interpreter in the Chinese banking system during the "Opening Up". Mark worked in China as a middle school teacher from 2003-2005.  Representatives from the Jiangsu Education Department in Nanjing contacted them and asked them to help with recruitment due to the acute need for professional teachers in the Province. Being raised in Jiangsu Province, Yan can give the prospective student an idea of what the society is like there and Mark can give them an idea of what a foreigner can expect.

What separates us from other recruiting agencies are the facts that we ask no fees from recruits and our recruiters here in the USA can offer a perspective on life in China both from the American and Chinese viewpoint. We feel that we can do more to prepare a potential candidate than most companies, especially those based in China or those whose employees are specifically Chinese or American.

For Collegiate Departments, Educators and Students

You may have been contacted by us directly in the last four years as a Department of English or Education at an American four year college or university. We have attempted to recruit by contacting specific departments at accredited institutions directly. We have provided below a PDF poster for professors and students. We hope these are helpful. At this time, we do not send out promotional materials by regular mail. We are not a commercial or for-profit organization and  are trying to contain the costs.

We also would like to inform schools and department heads that we are able to work with you on the placement of student groups on an annual basis. We have been approached in the last four years by schools that were seeking an ongoing relationship with the Bureau in China for student overseas placement. We would be very happy to work with specific departments and institutions to arrange something for you in Jiangsu Province. There is a distinct advantage to working with CNET on placement because, should an institution work directly with a specific school in China and that school can back out of the arrangement at any time. Should this happen, feel free to contact us about placement. The Bureau can always provide positions.
