Vince Ferragamo

Vince Ferragamo started his collegiate career at the University of California, Berkeley in 1972, but transferred to Nebraska in 1974 where he became an All American He was drafted in 1977 by the Los Angeles Rams where he played until 1984. In 1979 he led the Rams to SuperBowl XIV. The Steelers won, but the Rams and Ferragamo acquitted themselves well.

 

While with the Rams, Ferragamo established many team records including most pass attempts in a season with 404 in 1980, most sasses completed in a season with 274 in 1983 and most touchdown passes in a season with 30 in 1980. He also passed for 509 yards, completing 30 of 46 passes against the Chicago Bears in 1982. Ferragamo went on to play with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers. He retired from the NFL in 1986.
