History's Greatest Shot Putter

I am Randy Matson's second cousin (my Mom and Randy are cousins). My Grandfather, Ed Maston, was Randy's uncle. This photo is of Randy's father and uncles. Edward Matson is on the far left in this photo and Randy's father, Charles, is second from the right. My grandfather died when I was very young and I never knew him. When we would go to see Randy compete, I would often see my great-uncle Charlie. In my mind as a child, he was a representation of my grandfather to me, the closest I ever got to knowing what my grandfather was probably like.
